How to run a Lag Test in 30 seconds

01

Create Session

Click the button above to generate a private diagnostic room instantly.

02

Connect Both Players

Send the link or QR code to Player 1 & 2 on PC, console or phone on the same network.

03

Live Verdict

Play a friendly match and watch the dual live graph. Flat line = stable, red spikes = lag source found.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is a regular Speedtest not enough for fighting games?
Speed tests only check bandwidth (download speed). Fighting games transmit minuscule amounts of data per second, but require absolute packet timing consistency. A single ping spike or packet drop ruins the rollback prediction, creating rollbacks and input delay.
How do I test my connection on console (PS5, Xbox, Switch)?
Open the probe link in your console's web browser, or simply scan the generated QR code with your smartphone connected to the exact same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. Our built-in Wake Lock keeps the probe active during testing.
What is Jitter and how does it affect Rollback Netcode?
Jitter is the variance between ping intervals. If your ping fluctuates between 20ms and 90ms, the rollback engine is forced to repeatedly recalculate game frames, causing stutter, teleportation, and dropped inputs. Stability always beats raw low ping.
How should Tournament Organizers (TOs) use this tool?
The referee creates the room and selects "Referee Dashboard", then shares individual links to Player 1 and Player 2. During a button check or friendly set, the referee watches the live dual-curve graph and incident log for an objective, indisputable verdict.

PRO TIP: Run this test DURING a friendly match. If graph spikes red when game lags, you found the culprit.

Understanding Data: Don't focus on absolute ping (e.g. 50ms). What matters is STABILITY. A flat line is ideal. Spikes or Packet Loss cause rollbacks.
